What does good leadership mean to you?
A good leader focuses on the success of the people and the business. Encouraging, listening, following up and pushing forward while looking at each individual's potential and helping them to overcome difficulties, making them reach further than they thought possible.

Can you share an important lesson from your time as a leader, which has had a decisive impact on your leadership style?
Many years ago, there was a person who lost patience with me and told me that I had to stop assuming that everyone else had the same capacity as me. That was useful for me. I try to think about it now, that everyone has different capacities and conditions. The consequence is that I can't treat everyone equally. It's fairer to treat everyone in the way they need to be treated.

In the "Under the Skin" podcast you talk about envy. How do you think about envy in leadership and in your career?
I think envy is a sign that you're not really happy with your own life, or your own choices. Especially in social media, we see so many examples of 'successful people' and it's easy to miss that what's being shown is only the positive, that no one is taking pride in the negative. I'm sure some people envy my position, for example, but if they knew how hard, responsible and scary it can be, how much you have to give up in your personal life, they might change their minds.
