What attracted you to your new role?
The opportunity to continue to work with the benefit of society and have the privilege of reinvesting parts of Sparbanken Alingsås' profits in the communities where I grew up and where my children are now growing up. I was attracted by the fact that the role is both strategic and social with large contact areas in all four of our municipalities. It also felt like a good time to join Sparbanksstiftelsen Alingsås, where the board and operational management have created order and are now entering a development phase where I can be involved and contribute.
What experience from previous working life do you bring with you into your new role?
I have worked a lot with project management, marketing, business development and sustainability before. I also think it is an advantage that I have a large network of contacts in our business area that is also relevant in this role. I also see it as positive that I come from "the other side" and have been a grant recipient and project partner to Sparbanken Alingsås and Sparbanksstiftelsen Alingsås in my previous role.
Do you have any observations and reflections to share after a few months in the role?
It is clear that the savings bank idea really permeates everything Sparbanken and Sparbanksstiftelsen do. There is great commitment and a big heart for the community, but also a humility in the organization. Society is now facing a financially tough winter and, as a Foundation, owning a Sparbank is a great responsibility. Therefore, it feels extra good in the heart to know that a profitable Savings Bank provides the opportunity for us to reinvest more in our municipalities.
