What attracted you to Varner Supply and the role of Warehouse Manager?
I had no thoughts of changing jobs, so it was Based On People and Jon Spjuth that sparked my interest in this role. I am so grateful today that you, Jon continued to believe in me 😊
What attracted me was the combination of three different things. The first was to lead the business, and this amazing warehouse that is getting bigger and better. The second was my future boss and the conversations we had in the recruitment process; a fantastic person who chose me even though I really emphasized that I am a hard bastard and that it will not always be easy with me. The last part was simply the whole business - a dream come true to work in one of Europe's most modern warehouses and one of the Nordic region's largest fashion groups with several different chains. What opportunities for personal development!

What experience will you bring to your new role?
I have previously worked at companies with a lot of automation but never at the level that Varner Supply AB is. I believe I have a lot of knowledge and experience needed to create the world's best distribution center. And the knowledge I do not have, others can supplement with as long as the passion is there.
The most important lesson I have learned, regardless of automation or not, is the importance of understanding and motivating my employees. It is the people who create the heart and pulse of the company.

Do you have any thoughts and reflections after a few months in the role?
Varner is a great company. I have the best workplace in the world with fantastic colleagues and employees. I feel proud every morning when I walk through the door. Just walking around the production line, hearing the conveyor belt rolling, seeing boxes on the conveyor on their way out - meeting a coworker with a smile on their face and a nice greeting - it makes me feel warm all over. There are challenges, but challenges bring opportunities and it's fun here every day!
